Job description

PostGrid is a fast-growing startup that enables businesses to automate their offline communications. We're building APIs that allow our users to send physical mail around the world without ever touching an envelope. We're looking for software engineers who will help us transform the way people work with direct mail. We serve over 500 million API calls a month and are scaling up to handle billions.

You roles and responsibilities will be to:

  • Architect and maintain scalable REST APIs that can serve a multitude of use cases without breaking backwards compatibility
  • Optimize existing NodeJS services by unlocking performance opportunities with Rust
  • Build ETL workflows to route millions of orders across our growing network of partners
  • Create internal tools that enable our sales and logistics teams to better serve our customers
  • Write clear API documentation and guides that enable developers to better use our APIs
  • Work closely with our product managers and customers to ensure your work translates into business impact
  • Collaborate with our founders to generate growth ideas and improve existing processes

We're looking for somebody who has:

  • Professional experience building APIs with NodeJS, TypeScript, and MongoDB
  • Professional experience creating frontends with TypeScript and React
  • Experience writing API documentation and communicating with customers
  • Experience working with automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Vitest
  • Strong technical writing skills, ideally demonstrable through project or customer facing documentation

Bonus Skills:

  • Bonus points for experience with Rust/C/C++
  • Bonus points for working with AWS Lambda, S3, SQS, Batch, etc
