Warner Bros. Discovery Canada is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on modern enterprise-class languages with a strong JavaScript/Node emphasis.

This role will design, implement, test, and deploy web applications such as CNN Underscored, and build customer facing products and tooling to support massive growth of the CNN Commerce vertical. The role requires 4+ years of software development experience, proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React/Vue/Angular, plus

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience with a focus on application development.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React/Vue/Angular, plus Postgres, Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Experience with Fastly, AWS, Serverless/SAM, CloudFormation, Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
• Hands-on with client and server tech and solid data structures/algorithms knowledge.
• Experience building medium to large-scale, high-availability production systems.
• Demonstrable design skills and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Active in the technology community and experience with monitoring code and infrastructure health.

Responsibilities
