British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, build, and deliver technology solutions that support investment and business operations. Based in Victoria or Vancouver, you will join the Technology Solutions team and collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, and partners.

You will work across full development lifecycle, build scalable applications, and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a tech field.
• Software development experience: 1+ years for Engineer I; 5+ years for Engineer II.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with modern development technologies (.NET, C#, Python, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, issue tracking, and software lifecycle management.

• Present technical concepts and recommendations clearly.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software applications.

BCI is an in-person, collaborative organization with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.SALARY RANGEThe annualized base salary range for the Software Engineer I role is CAD $93,000 to $110,000.For the Software Engineer II role, the range is CAD $106,000 to $128,000.BCI offers a competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, and paid time off. We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we operate and with consideration for internal equity and job structure. The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity. We aim for actual pay to be around the market median for expected performance and the upper quartile for excellent performance.
