About the Institutional Product Group

This team supports Coinbase's institutional business, enabling large financial institutions to custody digital assets and participate in the crypto economy securely. We focus on scalable, secure crypto platforms supporting multiple assets, staking, governance, and web3 gateways, with opportunities to innovate across web, mobile, and browser extensions.

Role: Institutional Financing Engineering

This team manages systems for billions of dollars in loans across various products like Portfolio Margin, Trade Finance, and more. Financing allows customers leverage trading positions and generate yield, crucial for recurring revenue and platform engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new financing products and features
• Build reporting, monitoring, tools, frameworks, and APIs
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to deliver quarterly goals
• Enhance developer efficiency, engineering, and operational excellence
• Support operations and engineering teams
• Mentor team members and uplift technical skills

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production services
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Passion for building an open financial system

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Golang, Postgres, Kafka, Protobuf, React
• Background in financial, high-reliability, or security systems

Compensation and Benefits
