Our client in Kanata, ON is seeking a Software Engineer Associate for a contract position. The role involves embedded software development, focusing on BSP and secure bootloaders, with projects spanning infotainment, connectivity, and hardware modules in next-generation vehicles.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement BSP/bootloader features within a team-based environment.
• Develop secure boot features.
• Create and review software design documents.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and validation.
• Communicate issues proactively and collaborate across teams and vendors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with BSP (Linux/QNX) and bootloader development.
• Proficiency in Embedded C and reading electronic schematics.
• Knowledge of embedded OS (Linux, QNX).
• Ability to work onsite.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with board bring-up, debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes).
• Driver development (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN).
• Knowledge of ARM processors and memory controllers.
• Experience with version control (SVN, Git).
