About the Role

Are you interested in designing, developing, and implementing robust solutions while working closely with Tech Leads, Product Owners, UI/UX designers, and other partners to transform concepts into functional features that elevate the user experience? Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust software solutions for the ACRE platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
2. Collaborate with Tech Lead, Product Owner, UI/UX Designers, and other partners to translate design concepts and product requirements into functional software features.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following standard software development methodologies, including code reviews and unit testing.
4. Support the architectural design of the platform, ensuring it meets current and future business requirements while maintaining security and data integrity.
5. Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues promptly to ensure a smooth user experience.
6. Maintain comprehensive documentation of software design, code, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying new techniques and tools to improve development processes and product quality.

Qualifications

You are:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment, with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python, with experience in Django or similar web frameworks, and familiar with AWS services (minimum RDS, S3) and cloud architecture, including deployment and management of applications.
• Experienced with version control systems (e.g., GIT), agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of software security principles and standard practices; an excellent problem solver capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Assets include:

• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Knowledge of relational databases, DynamoDB, and data modeling.
• Experience in developing applications for the insurance or legal industries is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Office environment with up to 15% travel within North America.

Physical & Mental Requirements

Includes grasping, kneeling, lifting objects up to 20 pounds, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements, and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Additional Information

Note: No company-paid international relocation assistance is offered for this role.

For BC Only: Salary ranges from $111,870 to $170,000 based on experience.
