Job summary

Dexian seeks a Senior Backend Software Developer to lead complex integrations and architect RESTful APIs in a Java/Spring Boot stack. You will design integration patterns, implement secure API contracts, and mentor intermediate developers within an Agile squad collaborating with architects and delivery leads.

Hybrid work in Toronto/Waterloo, ON with three days onsite. You will surface advisor-facing data and client documents by integrating Salesforce and Alfresco with the advisor portal,

Qualifications

• Advanced RESTful API / microservices backend development in Java / Spring Boot with Maven-based deployments to Azure/AKS.
• Integration architecture: design and build API contracts and integration patterns across enterprise systems ( JMS/ActiveMQ ).
• Entitlements and access control design: authentication/authorization built from the ground up.
• SQL and data mapping/transformation between source systems and front-end contracts.
• Senior-level hands-on delivery: independently builds complex integrations and mentors others.

Title: Senior Software Developer / Senior Software Engineer

Location: Toronto or Waterloo, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 3 days/week

Summary:

Senior backend/integration developer providing technical leadership and supporting electronic tracking (eTrack) of an application/lifecycle and electronic documents (eDocs). The resource will design integration patterns and API contracts and build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services that surface advisor-facing data, application/transaction lifecycle status (eTrack), and client statements/tax documents (eDocs) by integrating backend source systems (Salesforce, Alfresco) with the advisor portal front end. The resource will stand up advisor entitlements/access control from the ground up, lead the more complex integrations, and provide solution design, code review, and mentorship to intermediate developers. Work is delivered within an Agile squad in partnership with architects and delivery leads.

• Advanced RESTful API / microservices backend development in Java / Spring Boot (Maven-based, deployed to Azure/AKS), including secure API design

• Senior-level hands-on delivery—builds complex integrations independently, sets technical patterns through code, and provides code review/mentorship while remaining a primary contributor
