Job summary

Highspring, a forward-thinking consulting firm, seeks a Python Software Engineer to join a delivery team building AI-enabled solutions for large enterprises. You will design scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native services while collaborating with Data Scientists and Engineers to operationalize AI models.

You'll contribute to data-intensive analytics initiatives and develop full-stack applications with React or Angular, in a flexible hybrid environment that supports continual learning

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Python Software Engineer to join one of our delivery teams working on AI-enabled solutions within a large enterprise environment. In this role, you will play a key part in building scalable applications, cloud-native services, and APIs that power data-driven and AI-based products.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services using Python
• Build backend systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions supporting AI-driven products
• Develop full-stack applications, including modern user interfaces using React or Angular
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to operationalize AI models
• Contribute to data-intensive solutions supporting analytics and machine learning initiatives
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable, observable, and scalable
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design
• Mentor and support other developers within Agile teams

What You Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Python development and software design principles
• Proven experience building backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience delivering full-stack applications in cloud environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
