About the Team

Evisort Engineering is expanding. We seek a Software Development Engineer to collaborate with a skilled, multidisciplinary team, including product and design partners. Your role will focus on maintaining and expanding our contract management solutions, leveraging AI at scale to transform business processes related to contracts.

About the Role

You will advance our AI initiatives and deliver value to legal departments and professionals globally. Your responsibilities include:

1. Partnering with engineering, data science, product management, and design teams to develop vision, strategy, and roadmap.
2. Fostering a culture of iteration and innovation, understanding our business domain and engineering practices.
3. Mentoring teammates to enhance their professional growth and productivity.
4. Owning several platform functional areas (“you build it, you run it”).

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of Python development experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL.

Other Qualifications

• Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency with containerization technologies, especially Docker.
• Experience integrating with external APIs and service providers.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or DynamoDB.
• Understanding of modern distributed systems technologies and tradeoffs.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices, including automated testing.
• Proven ability to work effectively within multi-functional, agile teams.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals.
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and troubleshooting production issues.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and developing solutions through reasoning and research.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for the primary location is CAD $106,400 - $159,600, with variations based on location, experience, and skills. Compensation may include bonuses, stock grants, and other benefits. More details will be shared during hiring.
