Semtech is seeking a student Software Engineer intern to contribute to the on-time delivery of stable, production-ready software for the ALMS platform in Richmond, BC. You will translate requirements into reliable designs, implement features across the ALMS stack, and integrate cloud-native sub-systems while documenting your work.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (software focus).
  • Experience with Java and/or JavaScript application development.
  • Experience with Linux-based development and web applications.
  • Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and Docker containers.
  • Strong initiative, risk awareness, and effective communication.

  • Analyze requirements and translate into reliable software designs.

Location:

Richmond, BC

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid, 4 days on site (Monday to Thursday)

Responsibilities

You will contribute to the on-time delivery of stable, production-ready software for the ALMS platform.

  • Analyzing requirements and translating them into reliable software designs
  • Implementing and testing features across the ALMS stack
  • Integrating and configuring sub-systems within a cloud-native environment
  • Writing clear documentation for the features you own.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (software focus)
