Job summary

Symbiotic Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications in Toronto, ON. You will translate technical specs into deployable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in all stages of the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coding, unit testing, integration efforts, and contributing to design and architecture documentation. Strong Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud experience are required.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating technical specifications into fully tested and deployable solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days per week in Toronto, ON.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications.
  
• Write and/or generate code for enterprise applications.
  
• Compile data-driven programs and conduct unit testing.
  
• Maintain existing applications and software components.
  
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical issues arising during software operation and usage.
  
• Provide technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
  
• Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and solution architects throughout project delivery.
  
• Update and maintain technical design, architecture, deployment, and support documentation.
  
• Conduct design reviews and code reviews.
  
• Prepare effort estimates and report project progress.
  
• Participate in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban-based delivery environments.
