Socket.dev seeks a Software Engineering intern in Calgary, Alberta for a hybrid role. You will join an agile development team to build features for our DataHub product using ReactJS, Java, Python, and related technologies.

You will participate in requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring, and collaborate with Product, QA, and UX teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. The role requires ongoing studies in Software Engineering or Computer Science (3rd year) and

Currently enrolled in 3rd year studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

Become part of an agile development team to develop features for the core DataHub product.
Participate in requirements, design, estimations, code reviews, tests, documentation, deployment automation and monitoring.
Develop software for frontend and backend using DataHub stack (ReactJS, Javascript, Java, Python).
Work with AWS and SpringBoot to support the product and learn modern tech trends.
Provide Tier 3 support and assist customers when needed.
Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues.
Collaborate with Product, QA, and UX teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
