About the role
D-Wave is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Processor Software team, which plays a key role in creating and maintaining software that supports both the Processor Development (PD) and Hardware Engineering (HWE) teams. The PD team focuses on developing the quantum processor, and the HWE team designs and maintains the hardware necessary to operate and interface with the quantum processor.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and engineering physics, physics, or a related field. A Software Developer on this team will collaborate with programmers, engineers, scientists, and physicists to design, implement and maintain software and infrastructure that interact with our quantum processors in both production and lab environments. The primary language used in the development is Common Lisp (SBCL). The work this position delivers directly impacts the core functionality of our quantum computing system.
