Intuit, Inc. Canada is seeking a Software Developer 1 in Toronto to grow skills across the full SDLC. This entry-level role offers guided, well-defined tasks and opportunities to develop proficiency in tax content and software engineering.

Responsibilities include translating small tasks into functional logic, writing readable code, and collaborating during Agile/SCRUM ceremonies. You will learn to use AI tools and acquire foundational knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial tax rules.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science and/or Tax + equivalent experience, or recent graduate.
• 1-2 years developing software in C#/C++ and/or Java, including OO design basics.
• 1-2 years of tax research/analysis; interest in Canadian tax law.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze lower-complexity tax issues under guidance.
• Translate small tasks into functional tax logic using AI-assisted code generation.
• Participate in compliance discussions with product owners and engineers.
• Write readable, reusable code; perform unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Use logs and metrics to investigate defects with guidance from seniors.
