The Team

Contributes to the success of Payments & Core Banking Engineering globally by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with business strategies. Ensures activities comply with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Participate in developing, testing, and debugging code.
• Document and test new software applications.
• Research and investigate technical issues.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and team members.
• Approach problems and contribute to creating solutions.
• Proactively learn about new technologies and tools.
• Assist in providing estimations and breaking down work for small, frequent releases.
• Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
• Ensure effective operations and compliance with Scotiabank’s values, policies, and controls, including operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risks.

Skills & Qualifications

• Work within a team of 10-15 cross-functional individuals.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience building web applications.
• Experience with ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
