This position is Hybrid in Toronto.

What You’ll Do:

• Optimizing monolithic legacy codebases and newer repositories using PHP (Symfony)
• Work in an agile environment with Product Managers in completing user stories and converting complex business rules/workflows from User Story requirements into bespoke Sales Force type CRM applications
• Maintain development and deployment environments using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with full-stack (Front-end/Back-end) team members with projects
• Cooperate with QA and Application Support teams to triage bugs
• Work with large database schemas that would include adding and updating tables and rows using MySql
• Write Unit tests and Documentation

Required Technical Qualifications:

• 4 years' experience with PHP, SQL, OOP, and Linux
• 2 years' experience with REST API and Symfony/Frameworks
• Experience with Azure/Cloud, System and API Design, and containerized development/deployments
• Experience with using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience with RabbitMQ
• 1 year experience with CosmosDB/NoSQL
• Effective communication skills to explain ideas and processes to others on your team and other departments.
• Ownership over the projects you are working on and be accountable to others on your team.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Ability to collaborate well with other departments such as product management, QA, DevOps, and IT in order to meet strategic goals.
• Be a self-starter who has the drive to see projects completed.
• Be able to think outside the box when approaching challenges and product development.
