Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Developer for Fighting Ad Fraud in Canada. The role involves building defenses against automated threats, applying ML to fraud detection, and collaborating with research teams on state-of-the-art techniques.

You will join the Botnets team to defend Google's ads ecosystem and contribute to scalable, privacy-friendly anomaly detection while keeping pace with evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience in Machine Learning or Statistical Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging threats and build new initiatives and roadmaps to defend Google's ads ecosystem.
• Work cross-functionally with Google research teams to influence and apply state-of-the-art machine learning technologies in fraud detection.
• Build statistical and machine learning models to automate spam detection and filtering.
• Instrument Google ads products to collect traffic signals for building robust and privacy-friendly anomaly detection.
• Establish ground-truth and dissect botnet workflows through traffic analysis and reverse developing.
