Job summary

Google Waterloo, ON, Canada is seeking a mid-level Software Developer for Ads Safety Enablement and Prevention. You will write code, review peers, and contribute to ML-driven defenses protecting Google Ads from abuse.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop solutions to protect Google Ads from ever changing attacks and has significant room for growth. The work is highly visible and the potential impact both on Google Ads business and users is substantial. There are ample opportunities with cross-functional teams like Ads Quality, Advertiser Platform, Trust and Safety, GBO, and Research, and cross-product teams like YouTube, AdSpam, and Play.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $150000 - $153000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Write product or system development code.

• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Work with the team to develop solutions to classify and understand actors and their assets including destinations in Google Ads using modern machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with partner teams to provide holistic solutions to detect and stop bad actors from re-entering Google Ads, and to reduce friction for good actors.
