Bell is seeking a software developer to design modern applications and cloud-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations, BI, Data Engineering, Digital and Marketing to build data-driven applications and automated processes.

The role emphasizes customer-focused solutions, continuous learning of new technologies, and contributing to team deliverables in a hybrid work setup based in Montreal. A strong foundation in Python and web tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/related field or equivalent experience.
• <3 years of relevant work experience; exceptions for highly skilled candidates may apply.
• Proficiency in Python with knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for web development.
• Fundamental software engineering concepts: OOP, data structures, architecture, clean code.
• Web fundamentals: HTTP, REST, JSON, client-server, front-end/backend integration.
• Git and collaboration workflows (PRs, reviews).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated builds, unit tests.
• Cloud/container concepts; exposure to Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift/GCP is a plus.
• Basic SQL and working with data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, secure, well-documented code for web apps, APIs and services using Python and modern JS/TS frameworks.
• Build intuitive web interfaces and backend APIs for data analytics and AI-powered solutions.
• Integrate APIs, data services, ML models and third-party libraries with cross-functional partners.
• Contribute to full application lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Help maintain automated deployment pipelines and containerized apps in OpenShift and GCP.
• Troubleshoot issues across front-end, back-end, API and deployment environments.
