Job summary

Bridgeport Crew is seeking a Software Developer to guide our teams in delivering impactful digital solutions from our Kitchener office. You will build a Next.js + TypeScript app using Supabase, implement authentication with NextAuth, and craft accessible interfaces with TailwindCSS.

You’ll work on form handling with React Hook Form and Zod, write automated Playwright tests, and deploy in a VPS environment. This on-site role requires 5+ years of experience and a strong frontend/backend blend.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of development experience on complex projects.
• Strong TS/React/Next.js experience with modern frontend tooling.

Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Pay Range: $50,000 - $80,000
This is an on-site role; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain a Next.js + TypeScript application integrated with Supabase.
• Implement authentication using NextAuth with the Supabase adapter.
• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces with shadcn/ui and TailwindCSS.
• Manage form handling with React Hook Form and Zod validation.
• Write and run automated tests using Playwright.
• Deploy and host applications in a VPS environment.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with TypeScript and React/Next.js.
• Practical knowledge of Supabase (authentication, database, storage).
• Familiarity with NextAuth (Supabase adapter preferred).
• Proficiency with TailwindCSS.
• Experience handling forms with React Hook Form + Zod.
• Solid understanding of Git/GitHub workflows.
• Comfort with Linux CLI commands for server work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Playwright or other testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic SQL/Postgres experience.
• A strong eye for UI/UX design and accessibility.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of development experience, working on complex projects across diverse industries.
