Job summary
SweetTech in Montreal is offering a full-time software development internship for January 2027 to April 2027. You will work on Python, FastAPI, Angular, and SQL-based projects, with guidance from senior developers. Expect hands-on coding, code reviews, and collaboration with product and design teams.
You will learn to use Claude Code and Codex, understand a codebase, and contribute small but meaningful features while improving tests and tooling.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related program.
- Ability to explain software projects and how they work.
- Foundation in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve web application features with guidance from experienced developers.
- Work on frontend components, backend APIs, or both depending on project and experience.
- Investigate bugs and develop fixes addressing underlying problems.
- Write and run tests, and validate changes before review.
- Use AI coding tools to support development while ensuring quality.
- Open pull requests, respond to feedback, and document your work for others.
- Collaborate with product and design to clarify expected behaviour.
- Keep tasks up to date and flag blockers early.
