Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver is seeking engineers to join the MAP organization. You will work on software and systems that power automated deployments, OS upgrades, patching, and dynamic fleet scaling for Amazon’s services.

You will help build the next generation of continuous deployment and fleet management, delivering elastic capacity at scale. You’ll join a highly-visible team that ships production code used by thousands of engineers and customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (patterns, reliability, scaling) of systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Our team owns the software and systems that help Amazon’s massive developer community build the critical services and technology that Amazon is known for. Through a fully-automated continuous deployment workflow, Amazon engineers can bring code changes and new features to the customer, or dynamically shape the size of their fleet, all because of the magic we provide. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
