Job summary

Brock Solutions is seeking a Software Deployment Engineer for our head office in Kitchener, Ontario. The role centers on deploying and supporting mission-critical software for airlines and airports worldwide, requiring quick domain knowledge acquisition and a strong deployment‑driven technical foundation.

You will configure via SQL Server and the web client, validate workflows, troubleshoot issues, and work with clients globally.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
• Preferred 1–3 years’ experience (co-op considered).

Responsibilities

• Deploy Enterprise products to Production on prem and cloud servers using Microsoft DevOps tools.
• Configure the application using SQL Server and the web client per client requirements.
• Test client workflows to ensure correct configuration and seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot application issues affecting clients.
• Collaborate with clients from around the world to ensure successful deployments.

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing, optimizing, and automating the deployment of mission-critical software solutions for airlines and airports worldwide. Given the specialized nature of the aviation industry, the ideal candidate must be a fast learner, capable of acquiring niche domain knowledge while applying a strong technical foundation in software deployment. This position requires a keen problem-solving ability, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to ensuring the seamless operation of aviation systems.

This position focuses on deployment and support. It is not intended as a steppingstone to software development or a transition into a developer position

Responsibilities include:

• Deploy SmartSuite Enterprise products to Production on premise and cloud servers using Microsoft DevOps technology
• Use SQL Server and the web client to configure the application based on the client's needs
• Test the client's workflow to make sure the system is configured correctly
• Help troubleshoot application issues affecting our clients
• Work with great clients from all over the world!

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma or Degree inSystems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
• Preferred 1-3 years’ experience (co-op considered)

Desired Skills:

• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to technical concepts, even without a formal technology background.
• Customer satisfaction-focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of high-availability models and technologies is an asset.
• Basic understanding of messaging queuing protocols (WebSphere MQ, MSMQ, Rabbit MQ, etc.) is an asset.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud-hosted SaaS models is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project deployments and customer support.
