Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work is required.
• Registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers is required.
• Three years of related licensed experience in Mental Health and Addictions in a health care setting.
• Experience with individuals with Mental Health and/or substance use concerns.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate intake for Mental Health and Addictions services.
• Perform screening, risk assessment, clinical triage and disposition.
• Provide brief supportive counselling and psychoeducation.
• Coordinate access to community resources and services.
• Liaise between community resources and MHA teams.
