Job summary

Interior Health seeks a casual Social Worker to join Penticton Regional Hospital. The role involves comprehensive psychosocial assessment, care planning, and treatment coordination for clients and families, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include direct psychosocial care, counseling, group work, system navigation, advocacy, and education. Flexibility with shifts and opportunities for involvement in committees and research projects are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
  • Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
  • Current valid BC driver’s license.

Position Summary

We are hiring for a casual Social Worker at Penticton Regional Hospital. Casual shifts may be available in a variety of health care and social work settings. Casual means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending upon operational needs. Shifts may be called out in advance and/or a short notice.

Days of Work:

Rotating (varies as needed)

Shift times:

08:00 to 16:00

About the position:

In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling and group work, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self management. This position is responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population. may participate in committees, team initiatives, and approved research projects.
