Stella's Circle is seeking a seasoned social worker in Canada to provide psychosocial assessments, plan and monitor community services, and advocate for clients within a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure client-centered care and ethical practice.

The role involves client interviews, program evaluation, and referrals to housing, legal aid, medical treatment, and other supports, with emphasis on outcomes and accountability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
On-site work at location; no remote option.
Membership in a provincial association of social workers.
Criminal record check, enhanced reliability security clearance, vulnerable sector check.
Adults are the target audience.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychosocial assessments.
Evaluate program effectiveness.
Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and needs.
Prepare detailed plans for clients returning home after rehab.
Provide mediation services.
Perform administrative tasks.
Provide counselling and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems.
Plan programs of assistance for clients.
Refer clients to housing, legal aid, medical treatment and other services.
Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
Advocate for clients in courts or hearings.
Conduct social research.
Evaluate counselling outcomes.
Develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs.
Monitor and evaluate programs.
