Job summary

Ottawa Rapid FC in Ottawa is seeking a hands-on Social Media Content Creator to run day-to-day social storytelling across platforms. This full-time, on-site role collaborates with videographers, photographers, and marketing leads to keep content flowing from matchday through the off-season.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in sports or community brands, a strong portfolio, and expertise across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in social media content creation.
• Portfolio demonstrating matchday storytelling and range of content.
• Experience across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and YouTube.
• Strong editorial instincts and willingness to learn what makes content land.
• Must be able to work in Canada unsponsored.

Responsibilities

• Keep Content Operation running and on-brand across platforms.
• Maintain and update the social content calendar.
• Coordinate with videographers and photographers on matchdays and beyond.
• Organize the asset library and ensure easy access and searchability.
• Apply brand guidelines and templates consistently.
• Lead the social content operation on matchdays.
• Distribute briefs and track post-production timelines.
• Support content distribution with the Digital Marketing team.
• Deliver post-match content assets to Communications on time.
• Capture player, community, and culture content for engagement.
• Create content tailored to four fan personas.
