Purpose of Position

Note: From May 15 - 26, this is an internal posting only for current LDS staff.

The Social Communication Group (SCG) Program Manager supports in-person group programs by managing logistics, communicating learner profiles, assisting with supervision and facilitation, overseeing intake and enrollment, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a high-quality program experience through effective communication with families.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support LDS SLP (who leads program design and delivery) with program delivery
  • Communicate learner needs and profiles to SLP
  • Supervise group in arrival area before program start
  • Attend and support in-person program delivery
  • Ensure all program materials and resources are up to date, organized, and filed digitally
  • Collaborate on program updates with the SLP
  • Manage intake and enrollment, including maintaining forms, conducting interviews, uploading documentation, and updating debriefs
  • Monitor application and enrollment numbers; coordinate with the recruitment team as needed
  • Handle administrative duties related to enrollment, billing, and communication with families
  • Prepare and send reports
Requirements & Competencies
  • Experience with program enrollment and administrative processes
  • Experience working with learners with diverse support needs
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with families
  • Ability to set boundaries and make appropriate referrals for support needs beyond LDS scope
  • Support students in navigating social norms confidently
Additional Details

Start date: Early July

Reports to: Senior Manager, Programs

Hours of work: Up to 5 hours/week, including group delivery (2h 10m), intake (up to 2h), and preparation (up to 1h)

Remuneration: Pro-rated salary increase/adjustment to be discussed, reflecting increased responsibilities. LDS is a Certified Living Wage Employer in BC.
