Job summary

Long View is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the IGs branch with Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, or Toronto locations. You will be the main escalation point for security incidents and work across SIEM, incident management, and cloud platforms.

The role requires 1+ years in incident detection and response, SC-200 certification, and experience with MS Defender. On-call rotation and strong communication skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in incident detection and response.
• Certifications: SC-200 and related security credentials are valuable.
• Experience with Defender and SIEM tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 24x7 operations of the Security Operations Centre.
• Monitor and validate security events from SIEM tools.
• Work with Sentinel, ServiceNow, and other incident management tools.
• Respond to critical situations and coordinate remediation with resources.
• Coordinate security incidents and communicate updates by email.
• Support SIEM tool updates and configurations across tools.
• Provide security guidance across the organization to identify and remediate incidents.
• Understand on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments and explain impacts.
• Document alerts workflow, tickets, and ownership for resolution.
• Engage with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
