Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking a Cyber Security Professional to join the Application Security Group. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, innovative tools that streamline processes, boost efficiency, and unlock new possibilities for the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in software development with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and containers, plus knowledge of OWASP and secure SDLC. You will mentor colleagues, collaborate across teams, and contribute to robust security practices

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OWASP, SANS or other security-related frameworks.
• Exposure to application security best practices such as secure coding, security testing techniques and Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and Containers.
• Proficiency with AI frameworks (FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph) and Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn).
• Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (OCP, Azure, AWS) and web services (SOAP, REST).
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have
