Job summary

RBC is shaping the future of application security in Toronto by designing, developing, and maintaining secure, innovative solutions that streamline processes and boost efficiency. You will lead the development of tools to enhance decision-making and automate tasks, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.

We seek a strong software developer with 5+ years of experience in Python, REST APIs, and containers, plus proficiency in AI frameworks

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OWASP, SANS or other security-related frameworks
• Exposure to application security best practices such as secure coding, security testing techniques and Secure SDLC
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and Containers
• Proficiency with AI frameworks (FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph) and Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn)
• Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (OCP, Azure, AWS) and web services (SOAP, REST)
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design to testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including diagrams and walkthroughs, to support feedback, design, development, and debugging activities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have

Knowledge of OWASP, SANS or other security‑related frameworks

Exposure to application security best practices such as secure coding, security testing techniques and Secure Software Development Lifecycle

5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and Containers

Proficiency with AI frameworks (FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph) and Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn)

Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and GitHub Actions

Solid understanding of cloud platforms (OCP, Azure, AWS) and web services (SOAP, REST)

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization

Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross‑functional teams

Nice‑to‑have

Experience with Docker and containerization platforms

Experience with MLOps tools and frameworks
