Alterra Mountain Company operates Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario and seeks seasonal staff to maintain snowmaking facilities and a high-quality ski experience. You will operate tractors, snow groomers, and other equipment while keeping trails safe and guest-ready in all weather conditions.

Formación

• Over 18 with a valid Class G Driver's License in good standing.
• Enjoys working outdoors and can work in inclement weather.
• Physically fit; able to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to operate a range of equipment from handheld tools to power tools.
• Experience operating utility vehicles is an asset; internal training provided.
• Chainsaw safety training; provided to successful candidates.

Responsabilidades

• Operate light and heavy utility vehicles to complete daily tasks.
• Perform maintenance on snowmaking and trail equipment.
• Install and maintain snowmaking infrastructure.
• Adjust snowmaking operations based on weather and conditions.
• Install and maintain protective padding, signage, and fencing.
• Trim and remove hazards from trails and waterways with appropriate tools.

FULL TIME HOURS

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

This purpose of this role is to maintain snowmaking facilities, deliver a top‑quality skiing product, and perform duties that uphold the safety, visibility, and overall condition of our ski hills to provide guests and staff with a safe, hazard‑free, and exceptional mountain experience.

• Operates light and heavy utility vehicles including tractors, side‑by‑sides, snowmobiles, pickup trucks, and mini excavators to accomplish daily tasks.
• Performs maintenance on snowmaking and trail maintenance equipment.
• Installs and maintains snowmaking equipment and infrastructure.
• Adjusts snowmaking operations, gun settings and direction based on weather and responds to changes.
• Installs, positions and maintains protective post padding, signage, ribbons and fencing.
• Trims and removes fallen trees or other hazardous items from trails and waterways using chainsaws and other equipment.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Over 18 with a valid Class “G” Drivers License in good standing required

• Enjoys working outdoors and able to work in inclement weather conditions

• Physically fit, able to lift and carry heavy materials and to perform repetitive tasks involving bending, stretching, walking and kneeling.

• Must be able to operate a range of equipment from simple handheld tools to power tools

• Experience in utility vehicle operation an asset (internal training provided)

• Mustparticipateinchainsawsafety training; this training isprovided to successful candidates.
