Clintar Winnipeg is hiring a Snow Removal Supervisor for the winter season. Join our ice and snow team focused on efficient clearing and de-icing. All roles are on-call, during the day or overnight, and contingent on winter conditions.

Candidates must be available on short notice, round the clock. Lead a crew, operate snow removal equipment, and ensure safety and reliability while providing strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 2-year experience as a snow removal crew lead.
• Must possess a cellphone with data.
• Available on short notice from November to April and on-call depending on weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Familiarity with sidewalk tractors.
• Proficiency in operating snow removal equipment safely.
• Experience supervising and managing a team is preferred.
• Good customer service skills are essential to handle inquiries professionally.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliability to respond to emergencies or irregular hours (nights/weekends) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead snow team and direct crew in de-icing and snow removal tasks.
• Remove snow and ice from parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, and roadways using plows, blowers, shovels, and salt.
• Perform maintenance and inspections of snow removal equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Ensure safety of all snow removal activities and proper use of safety gear.
• Coordinate with supervisors, property owners, or managers to report progress and any issues.
• Apply salt or other de-icing agents to surfaces to prevent ice formation and improve safety.
• Operate heavy machinery such as snowplows, front-end loaders, or snowblowers safely.
• Respond to emergency snow events to maintain access and safety.

• Ensure that all snow removal activities are conducted safely, including the proper use of safety gear and equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors, property owners, or managers to provide updates on snow removal progress and any problems that may arise.
• Apply salt or other de-icing agents to surfaces to prevent ice formation and improve safety.
• Operate heavy machinery such as snowplows, front-end loaders, or snowblowers proficiently and safely.
• Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as heavy snowfall during the night, to ensure safety and accessibility.
