Job summary

Clintar of Toronto is seeking seasoned Winter Heavy Equipment Operators to join our seasonal winter operations. You will blend your hands-on snow removal expertise with attention to health and safety, operating loaders, skid steers, telehandlers, AG tractors, and trucks with snowplows to keep designated areas clear.

You will work outdoors in varied conditions on high-traffic sites, perform inspections and documentation, and provide professional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in a snow removal role.
• One or more years of winter heavy equipment experience.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid G driver’s license and clean abstract.
• Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive team environment through motivation and communication.
• Operate equipment including loaders, skid steers, telehandlers, AG tractors, or trucks with snowplows.
• Maintain clean sites to prevent damage.
• Respond to emergency snow removal calls.
• Perform snow removal and de-icing tasks as required.
• Communicate updates to the Division Manager.
• Enter and maintain timesheets and site documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle/equipment inspections.

As one of our Winter Heavy Equipment Operators, you will blend your professional winter experience with your eye for detail and health and safety. Our standards are high and yours should be too. Our Equipment Operators handle high-traffic and complex sites, ensuring every one meets our strict quality standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Promote a positive team environment through motivation, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving skills
• Operate equipment including, but not limited to, loaders / skid steers, telehandlers, AG tractors, or pickup trucks with snowplows to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
• Maintain clean sites, ensuring no property or equipment damage.
• Respond to emergency calls for snow removal
• Perform various snow removal and de-icing tasks as required
• Communicate updates, issues and anomalies (good and bad) to the Division Manager
• Enter and maintain timesheets
• Complete site and equipment documentation
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment and report any issues, damages, etc.
• Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required by Management

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Seasonal - as needed. Occasional extended hours may be required
• Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.)
• Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds
• Lots of standing, bending and crouching
• Lots of repetitive tasks
• Occasional exposure to wet and/or cold conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Wearing of PPE
