Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking a Winch Cat Operator for seasonal on-site work in Golden, BC. You will operate grooming equipment, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance and safety teams to ensure smooth mountain operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating snow grooming equipment with a strong safety record.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance understanding.
• Basic knowledge of mountain resort maintenance needs.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive contribution to the resort.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with diverse people.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate grooming equipment with pre/post trip inspections.
• Perform daily light maintenance: fluids, cleaning, greasing, fueling.
• Report unusual noises or conditions to Maintenance.
• Complete daily vehicle logs and data input.
• Maintain high-traffic areas and slopes.
• Perform snow removal, snow farming, snowmaking, and fencing.
• Relay grooming information to Security for daily reports.
• Record and report hazards to Mountain Safety.
• Advocate health and safety for a clean, safe workplace.
• Work flexible shifts, including afternoons, graveyards, holidays, weekends, in extreme weather.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
