Lakeland Credit Union is seeking two relationship‑driven Small Business Advisors for our Bonnyville or Cold Lake branches. You will build long‑term relationships with business members, provide tailored financial guidance, and promote CU products and services to help local businesses grow.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in small business banking, lending or related financial services, with strong relationship skills and a focus on member service.

• Post-secondary degree in Business or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in small business banking, lending, financial services and business development.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and risk management for small business products.
• Proven ability to grow a business portfolio.

About the Opportunity

As a Small Business Advisor in either our Bonnyville or Cold Lake branch, you will be the trusted financial partner for our business members. You'll develop long-term relationships by understanding each member's unique needs and providing tailored financial solutions that help their businesses grow.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and managing a portfolio of small business members.
• Developing new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
• Provide proactive, individualized financial advice, fostering long term member relationships with follow-ups and referrals of credit union products and services.
• Analyzing financial statements, business plans, cash flow, and credit information to assess lending opportunities.
• Preparing lending recommendations within delegated lending authority.
• Monitoring existing credit relationships to ensure sound portfolio quality.
• Collaborating with internal advisors to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
• Staying informed on market trends, industry developments, and local economic conditions.
• Delivering an exceptional member experience that reflects our corporate values.

We are looking for someone who combines financial expertise with a genuine passion for helping local businesses succeed.

Qualifications include:

• Post-secondary degree in Business or other relevant combined education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in small business banking, lending, financial service and business development.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, applicable risk management policies and legal and security documentation for small business products.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and grow a business portfolio.
• A commitment to providing exceptional member service.
