Gateway Casinos in Canada is seeking a Slot Attendant to deliver high-level guest service in a fast-paced casino setting. You will observe slot players, answer questions, and guide guests on games to ensure a memorable experience.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and serving the public.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/pull objects.
• Serving It Right/Proserve/Smart Serve certifications.
• Ability to obtain provincial gaming registrations.
• DealUs In and Reel Facts VLT training within 30 days of start.

Responsabilités

• Promote ongoing casino promotions and initiatives.
• Manage slot machine reservations and promotions.
• Adhere to internal controls and provincial gaming policies.
• Manage cash float, verify and pay jackpots, provide change.
• Report violations and escalate as needed.
• Maintain and replenish slots; monitor machine lights.
• Learn and apply slot operation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Gateway Casino is seeking a customer-service pro who loves working in the fast-paced and exciting world of the casino. The Slot Attendant role puts you in the heart of the action. This role is ideal for those who love interacting with the public and providing next-level support to our many guests who enjoy playing the slot machines.

In this role, you provide vital front-line customer support that includes observing slot players and machines in specific areas. You will also offer instruction and answer questions on various games and machines to ensure our guests have a memorable experience at Gateway.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with awareness of and excitement for on-going and up-coming Casino promotions.
• Manage slot machine reservations and promote casino initiatives.
• Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or provincial lottery/ gaming policies and procedures.
• Manage a cash float, verifies and provides jackpot payouts and monetary change to guests.
• Report any violations and escalates to the appropriate level as necessary.
• Replenishes and maintains slot machines, monitors machine stack lights to ensure prompt service.
• Acquire and maintain a knowledge of all slot operation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

What You Bring

• Experience handling cash and working with the public.
• Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and pull, lift, and carry objects weighted similar to a full box of paper.
• Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta) certificate/ Smart Serve (Ontario)
• The ability to obtain registration with either the BCLC, AGLC or AGCO (based on province).
• DealUs In (Phase 1) and Reel Facts VLT training within 30 days of start (Alberta).
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment.
• A willingness to develop new skills and stay on top of the latest industry news and insights.
