Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. in Burlington, Canada seeks a Slitter Operator to run the slitting line with safety and efficiency, ensuring quality and productivity. You will set up equipment, monitor performance, and guide the line team to meet customer specifications and company standards.

Applicants should have 2–3 years of slitting line or related manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read work orders. Rotating shifts (days, afternoons, nights) are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of slitting line or related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, production documents, and specifications.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, nights).

Responsibilities

• Operate the slitting line safely and efficiently following procedures and safety standards.
• Verify knives, rubbers, and tooling per material specs.
• Adjust tables, conveyors, and rollers to align coils for processing.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure accurate cuts and optimal speed.
• Provide guidance to Slitter Helpers on monitoring, banding, and offloading.
• Perform quality checks to meet customer and company specs.
• Complete production records, traveler docs, and productivity reports accurately.
• Troubleshoot issues and report to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
