Saputo Inc. is hiring for a Skilled Worker to support the filling operations in our Canada Dairy division. You will operate filling equipment, input data, and help maintain quality and safety standards.

The role requires reliability, mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced dairy setting. Schedule includes evenings; full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education.
• Mechanically inclined and able to operate, assemble and troubleshoot equipment.
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment.
• Forklift Licensed preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up and operate filling equipment.
• Accurately complete documentation and maintain good housekeeping.
• Input and verify data at a computer terminal.
• Maintain quality checks on codes, seals and weights.
• Clean the work area and equipment regularly.
• Report mechanical issues and assist with minor repairs.

Overview of the role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Skilled Worker, for an existing opportunity within our organization.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for setup, start up and the operation of filling equipment, accurate and timely completion of documentation, and good housekeeping that meet food safety requirement.

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, 3:15pm - 1:45am Off: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Salary: $25.04

Full-time only: There are hourly increases every 6 months up until 24 months of service, with a target rate of $34.12/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Responsible for set up, start up and the operation of filling equipment
• Input and receive data from computer terminal
• Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals and weights
• Regular cleaning of associated work area and equipment operated
• Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns
• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Grade 12 education
• Mechanically inclined
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
• Forklift Licensed preferred
• Basic computer knowledge would be an asset
• Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
