Job summary

Saputo Inc. in Ontario is seeking a night-shift operator to set up, start up and run filling equipment in a clean, safe environment.

You will manage the caser/stacker area, input data, and maintain housekeeping to meet food safety standards while supporting team objectives. The role is full-time with a Sunday–Thursday schedule (11:00pm–7:30am), offering CAD 25.04–33.12 per hour and semi-regular raises during the first 24 months, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement,

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined with interest in equipment.
• Experience in food/dairy environment is preferred.
• Forklift license is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure case supply to caser equipment and conveyors are properly working.
• Input and receive data from computer terminal.
• Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals and weights.
• Regular cleaning of the work area and equipment operated.
• Report mechanical failures and perform minor repairs.
• Support Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for set up, start up and the operation of filling equipment, includes caser/stacker area, accurate and timely completion of documentation and good housekeeping that meet food safety requirement.

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am OFF Friday Saturday Salary: $25.04-$33.12 Full-time only: There are salary increases every 6 months up until 24 months of service.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Grade 12 education
• Mechanically inclined
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
• Forklift Licensed preferred
• Basic computer knowledge would be an asset
• Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
