Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is recruiting experienced, reliable Skilled Labourers for a project in Fort McMurray, AB. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and strong work ethic on a ground-level construction site.

We offer CLAC hourly wages, weekly pay, company RRSP & Pension contributions, benefits after 300 hours, paid training, 10% vacation and holiday pay, and 1.5x OT after 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience as Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs).
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic.
• Strong communication skills; able to follow and understand instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Must have safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive is an asset.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks in line with OCL and industry standards, procedures and practices.
• Assist skilled trades as required.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform spotting and flagging duties when required.
• Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift.
• Site cleaning and preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area / job site.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing and working in various weather conditions)
• Ensure a safe team environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic
• Strong communication skills. Ability to follow and understand instructions given.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
• Must have the following safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive is an asset
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
