Job summary

Portucana Holdings in Enfield, Nova Scotia, is hiring a skilled laborer to support construction projects. The role focuses on restoring structures, performing general site duties, and coordinating with foremen and other trades. A reliable vehicle and basic tools are recommended.

The position is full-time with an hourly wage of $25.00–$30.00. Benefits begin after a three-month probationary period, including extended health care and dental care, with work done in person at our site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating telehandlers, AWP or similar equipment is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail in daily tasks.

Skilled Laborer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various general labor/construction tasks and a passion for new construction and restoring structures. As a skilled laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
• General site labor and clean up.
• Collaborate with Foreman/Site Supervisor and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.

Experience/ Qualifications

• Proven experience as a skilled laborer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Experience and qualifications in operating telehandlers, AWP and other equipment is an asset.
• Excellent understanding of Industry standard timelines and scheduling.
• Familiarity with maintenance related repairs and trouble shooting.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to lead and motivate others.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
