Position Details
Position: Skilled General Labourer
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Type: Temporary
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and general landscape construction activities.
- Move, load, unload, and handle landscaping and construction materials.
- Assist with grading and compacting aggregate.
- Support the installation of pavers, stone, edging, and other hard landscaping features.
- Mix and move concrete or mortar as required.
- Perform regular wheelbarrow work and material transportation around the worksite.
- Assist skilled landscapers with the construction and installation aspects of the project.
- Use basic landscaping and construction tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Keep the worksite clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards.
- Work outdoors throughout the day and perform other general labour duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hard landscaping, landscape construction, general construction, or a similar hands‑on labour role is strongly preferred.
- Experience with pavers, stonework, aggregate, grading, or excavation is an asset.
- Comfortable using basic landscaping and construction tools and equipment.
- Able to safely perform physically demanding work throughout the day, including lifting and moving materials and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions while working independently when required.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on job site environment.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to maintain an organized work area.
- Must be available to speak with the client by phone as part of the selection process before the assignment is confirmed.
