Job summary

Golderado is hiring a Skilled Construction Labourer to join our site teams. You will load and unload materials, assist on diverse projects including municipal works, and perform carpentry and concrete tasks. A safety-conscious attitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualified candidates will have 1–2 years in construction, a high school diploma, and proficiency in English. Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs and reliable transportation are required; evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years in residential, industrial, or civil construction.
• Carpentry, concrete, and residential building experience preferred.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 202 are required.
• Experience using compactors and trampers (jumping jack).
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs (13.5 kg) to 50 lbs (23 kg) as needed.
• Safety-conscious attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Handle and distribute construction materials, load/unload vehicles and move tools and materials.
• Work on diverse projects including municipal works like sewers, roads, dams, bridges, tunnels, railways, canals.
• Carpentry and concrete work; remove rubble and debris.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Prepare and clean up sites, move materials, and perform demolition and excavation activities.

Job Description:

• Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas.
• Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
• Carpentry and concrete work.

• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of residential, industrial or civil construction or equivalent experience required.

• You have experience in using compactors, and trampers. (jumping jack)
• You are able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) 9-23 Kg.
• You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
