Job summary

Prostaff (KW) Solutions Corp. is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to oversee projects, ensuring planning, organization, control, and safety drive progress.

You will support the Site Supervisor, coordinate with subcontractors and trades, and enforce OHSA and building-code standards on high-rise residential sites. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or certificate and 5 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving, and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in a related discipline.
• 5 years of building high-rise residential experience.
• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and health and safety regulations (OHSA).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to solve problems independently.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Procore software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Supervisor in overseeing daily on-site construction activities to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to maintain schedule and resolve concerns.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
• Keep detailed reports of material deliveries and labor attendance.
• Assist in scheduling, managing quality control, and addressing issues as they arise.
• Escalate on-site concerns to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager when necessary.
• Attend and participate in site meetings, taking notes and following up on action items as required.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that work aligns with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Support the Site Superintendent with site cleanliness, access control, and organization.
