BEST Service Pros in Abbotsford, BC, is hiring a part-time supervisor to oversee custodial staff and act as liaison between management and frontline teams. The 20-hour week schedule runs Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm, with duties including coordinating daily tasks, training staff, and addressing scheduling, tools, and employee relations issues.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety compliance, and the ability to manage supplies and equipment while maintaining BEST’s culture and standards.

LOCATION:

Abbotsford, BC

SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:

Monday to Friday 9am-1pm (20 hours per week)

SALARY RANGE:

$23 per hour

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. You serve as the liaison between management and frontline staff--a great way to kickstart your career in leadership. You will be the first point of contact for matters related to scheduling, tools/equipment repairs, supplies and employee relations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily duties of both light and heavy-duty custodians
• Train new hires and foster BEST’s company culture, mission, and values
• Maintain open communication with Assistant Site Manager/Site Manager regarding staffing issues, safety, supplies, and other related business concerns
• Facilitate staff meetings as required to implement policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Maintain and secure storage areas and cleaning equipment/supplies ensuring the safety of staff and the public
• Perform minor equipment repairs and report vandalism
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages
• Other duties as required per business needs

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong verbaland written communication skills
• Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of WHMIS and standard cleaning products, chemicals, and procedures, is an asset
• Basic computer and smartphone knowledge with experience using MS Office programs
• Ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous supervisory experience considered an asset;
• Class 5 Driver's License
• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
