Otter Co-op's North Parallel Food Store- Pharmacy in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and deliver exceptional patient care. You’ll handle prescriptions, stock, and customer service in a collaborative team environment.

We expect 2+ years of pharmacy assistant experience, a Pharmacy Technician Diploma, and comfort with pharmacy software. Facilities include a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmacy assistant experience in a retail pharmacy.
• Diploma from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Training course.
• Pharmacy experience in a dispensary with 1,000 hours is an asset.
• OTC/Pharmacy sales experience with 1,000 hours is an asset.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate patient care and exceptional service.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and patient experience.
• Process prescriptions, refills, and patient information in pharmacy software.
• Direct questions to the pharmacist as needed.
• Maintain inventory and receive stock, manage OTC merchandising and displays.
• Ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Full -Time Pharmacy Assistant to work at our North Parallel Food Store- Pharmacy located in Abbotsford , BC.

What you will do: As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support our pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient patient care while providing exceptional customer service.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy and contribute to an outstanding patient experience.

Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient.

Support pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.

Process prescriptions, refill requests, and patient information using pharmacy software.

Direct clinical and medication-related questions to the pharmacist.

Maintain medication and supply inventory, including receiving orders, stocking shelves, and removing expired products.

OTC merchandising including, product assortment, shelf organization, product presentation, inventory management and promotional displays. Contact patients regarding prescription pickups and manage unclaimed prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy procedures.

Maintain accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and infection control standards.

Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to support efficient daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
