Job summary

Dyno Nobel Inc. is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee personnel and assets at the distribution site. You will build strong relationships with customers and collaborate with internal teams to meet objectives and optimize profitability.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and efficient operations. Qualifications include a 12th-grade diploma or equivalent, at least 5 years in a supervisory role within mining or related industries, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license (G/D Z an asset)
• Knowledge of ERD, Transport Canada and explosives industry regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and manage assets at the distribution site.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability and service levels.
• Prepare documentation for expenses, safety statistics, payroll and policy compliance.
• Operate on a day shift basis; 7 days per week with 2 weeks in and 2 out; camp accommodations provided.

What You'll Do

As the Site Supervisor, you will supervise employees and manage assets of the distribution site. You will be responsible for developingand maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external customers to successfully meet objectives and add value for customers, manufacturing sites and distribution. Other duties will include:

• Work to achieve high levels of positive working relationships with customers to fully demonstrate Dyno Nobels service commitment.
• Understand and enhance service requirements to continually improve customer profitability.
• Implement continuous improvement by following management policies and procedures in order to meet customer expectations, business objectives and budget goals.
• Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability as measured by EBIT,EBITDA.
• Prepare and submit proper paperwork to document expenses, safety statistics, payroll information and other as required by policy.
• This operation will be day shift only; 7 days per week with 2 weeks in and 2 out. The mine will provide camp rooms

What We're Looking For:

• Degree 12 diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years working in a Supervisory roll
• Experience in the mining or mining related industry
• May substitute work experience and/or training in the explosives or mining industries or other directly related work experience for some required education.
• Must be at least 21 year of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license (GZ/DZ considered an asset)
• Knowledgeable of applicable ERD, Transport Canada and all other relevant regulations related to the explosives industry
• Travel may vary depending on location and nature of work directed.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
• Must be proficient using the microsoft office suite
