Job description

Our client is searching for a Site Supervisor to join their team. This role will be responsible for leading the team on the ground at the site, solving scheduling issues, and being an all-around calming presence for the site. A successful candidate will be experienced, adaptable, and capable of resolving challenging situations.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Scheduling to ensure deadlines are met on time and within budget
2. Allocating labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
3. Maximizing safety on site
4. Minimizing costs and deficiencies
5. Communicating work scope requirements to site leaders, reviewing production, quality, and contract compliance, and ensuring implementation
6. Monitoring and supervising subcontractor work quality and production levels to achieve high standards
7. Collaborating with subcontractors for changes and adjustments
8. Calculating and ordering materials, ensuring timely procurement of specialty materials
9. Corresponding with Project Manager and client stakeholders regarding discrepancies, progress, and notes of interest
10. Resolving day-to-day field personnel issues
11. Scheduling manpower and resolving scheduling conflicts with other projects

Your strengths include:

1. Experience with general construction, particularly tenant improvement, is preferred
2. Ability to assist on-site, move materials, and provide demonstrations to less experienced employees
3. Excellent communication skills with trades, employees, clients, and Project Managers
4. Ability to lead site meetings effectively
