Job description

As a Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) you will play a key role at Stacktics Inc., where we design, create, deploy, maintain and grow industry-leading Cloud Infrastructure, Big Data Analytics and Cloud For Marketing products, solutions and services.

As a DevOps team member, you will play an integral role in designing, optimizing, documenting, and supporting Stacktics projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and operations of a CI/CD infrastructure in the cloud
  • Streamline development environments that allow our developers to work more effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain infrastructure security by implementing policies, protocols and procedures, including provisioning and configuring resources, managing network configurations, and ensuring the security and compliance of the infrastructure
  • Identifying and implementing optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of systems and applications running on Google Cloud Platform
  • Assign and monitor the work of technical personnel, ensuring that application development and deployment are done in the best possible way, and implement quality control and review systems throughout the development and deployment processes
  • Maintain issue tracking and documentation systems and provide reporting that ensures proper tracking and visibility of issues and projects
  • Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards
COMPANY-WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain client satisfaction and happiness with Stacktics’ deliverables, day-to-day work and overall value as a partner
  • Work closely with development teams, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment, operation, and scaling of applications and services on GCP
  • Cultivate opportunities for company growth, and always be looking for areas where Stacktics’ role could be expanded or built upon
  • Adapt to ever-changing client needs and expectations
  • Maintain dedication toward achieving excellence in Stacktics’ delivery against client needs and overall success as an organization
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A solid understanding of system architecture and design principles is essential to assess system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • 5+ years of Linux/Unix administration experience
  • 3+ years in a senior or SRE or DevOps role
  • Experience in building, operating, and maintaining large-scale performance services
  • Python, Bash, SQL, Cloud Computing, GCP, CI/CD and automation experience are a must
  • Understanding networking concepts, protocols (such as TCP/IP), and network troubleshooting skills are essential.
